Blessed are the Pure in Heart: for they shall see God. (Mat: 5:8) Create in me a Clean Heart, Oh God: (Psalm: 51:10) “Let us draw near with a True Heart. (Heb: 10:22)
Let the peace of God Rule in your Heart: (Col:3:16) There is a definite connection between the condition of our heart and our walk with God. “I will keep him in perfect peace whose mind (my heart is fixed upon thee) is stayed upon me. (Isa: 26:2)”
Where your treasure is there your heart will be also. Out of the abundance of the mouth the hearts speaks.
“Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues in life.” (Proverbs 4:23)
How many of you can remember the fire of God that burned in your heart with His peace when you first believed? How many of you remember how bold and un- ashamed you were to tell others about what God had done in changing your heart.
God sent the Spirit of His Son into our hearts to live, abide, remain and we are the doorkeepers of His temple. Our hearts have now become the temple and dwelling place of God.
Just as the enemies of God’s people in the Old Testament went about seeking to defile and destroy God’s people. Jesus said that the Devil comes to kill, steal and destroy God’s people. Our minds and hearts are his targets.
Jesus said; not that which goes into the mouth defiles a man; but that which comes out of the mouth, this defiles a man.
Many are defiled today, because they are not guarding their hearts and keeping their heart humble and honest before God.
The devil is out to defile you and make you feel unclean and unworthy of God’s blessings.
“Know you not that your body is the temple of God? If any man defile this temple, him will God destroy? We can defile ourselves by what we say, what we hear, and what we see that is negative, unclean, wicked and perverse.
Many have defiled themselves being lovers of this world more than lovers of God. Many have been defiled by the filthiness of TV and movies.
Many more have been defiled by being wounded, hurt, rejected and persecuted. After being defiled by many things our hearts grow cold and harden to the voice of God and we lose the joy of our salvation. Unforgiveness, bitterness, jealousy, strife, backbiting, murmuring, complaining, evil speaking of one another, anger and hate.
Many have forgotten the commandment of our Lord Jesus Christ is to love one another and to even love our enemies also.
“Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord: Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled.” (Heb: 12:14,15)
Our walk of victory daily in Jesus depends on us guarding our hearts from being defiled. “for as a man thinks in his heart, so is he.” (Proverbs: 23:7)
We all have to face life either as Over comers or defiled and defeated in our lives.
One of the smallest things can defile us and cause us to lose instead of win our battles in life. Especially Our Tongue!
“The tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defiles the whole body, and sets on fire the course of nature; and is set on fire of hell.” (James 3:60
Out of the same mouth proceeds blessings and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so.
“Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers. And grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby you are sealed unto the day of redemption.” (Ephesians 4:29,30)
We live too many days of our lives defiled, defeated, depressed, and empty of the joy and life of God because we don’t guard the words that comes out of our mouth.
We are snared by the words of our own mouth. How many will be honest about the condition of their heart before God right now. Are you cold, lukewarm or on fire for God? God knows your heart’s condition and only the blood of Jesus can break the things that we have been defiled by off of us.
Pray this prayer right now. In the name of Jesus wash me Lord make me clean. Create in me a clean heart, a true heart and a pure heart, Oh God.
If we confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us of all our sins and cleanse our hearts by the blood of Jesus.
“How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? (Heb: 9:14)
Our hearts and minds can be purified, purged, and cleansed daily if we will humble ourselves and surrender our hearts a fresh to God.
Right now I command all defilement to be broken off your mind, heart and life in Jesus name and blood. I command you to be loosed and free in Jesus name.
Now daily seek a clean, true, and pure heart before God and he will keep you from being defiled by the flesh, the world and the devil.
Keep your heart on the altar daily with all diligence, for out of it comes the issues of life. Now thank the Lord God for cleansing your heart in Jesus name. Lord Jesus let the words of my mouth and meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight.
